Big year for truck / trailer purchases

After the economic downturn of 2008, we have seen a new surge of business as the recession that crippled the trucking industry has loosened its grip.  To demonstrate to our customers both new and existing that Morrice Transportation is committed to providing seamless service with as little disruption as possible, we  purchased  6 new trucks at the beginning of 2011. With the purchase of the new trucks, 6 of our oldest units were retired.  Now, as Summer turns to Fall, we are awaiting delivery of 3 ADDITIONAL bunk units that will add to our fleet of late model trucks. More purchases of new trucks, and sales of the older units are in store for 2012. Also, we have purchased 30 new tandem trailers complete with the side skirting in keeping with Morrice's commitment to green technology.  Drivers have noticed an increase in fuel mileage while hauling these new trailers. Increase of fuel mileage means a decrease in costs of fuel for the company which indeed is a win - win situation for us.
